Just to let Giles and crew on the sailing team and Matthew on the contact and coordination team know that we are very pleased with the entire process of having our boat delivered by Thumbs Up Sailing Yacht Delivery. When I contacted Matthew a couple of weeks ago about this passage he quickly responded positively about availability. He provided appropriate documentation for the crew and a comprehensive and well thought checklist that we needed to fill for the boat. He also provided a clear and concise contract, with the opportunity to make any amendments we considered necessary. We had dealt with another delivery company before, so we could really see the contrast with our previous experience. The professionalism in the response to our request gave us confidence and trust in that this was a serious company that did things properly. And the way the delivery went totally confirmed this. Giles called us on Skype upon arrival in Madeira. We went through several bits and pieces of the boat together with him. They set sail on the Thursday, and a week later they were in Vigo! We were then provided with a full snag list and final report of the trip. In all, an excellent yacht delivery service that surpassed all our expectations. Absolutely recommended!!

Diane and I commissioned Thumbs Up to help us with an Owner Assisted passage, to bring, Alchemy, our Moody 42, from Lefkas, Greece, back to the Solent. The skipper, Doug, was just what we had hoped for. He instilled great confidence with his quiet efficient management of the passage. He and Lisa, the other crew member provided for the trip by Thumbs Up,were great to have aboard. It was obvious that Doug\’s wealth of sailing experience meant that we and Alchemy were in good hands, which resulted in a passage that caused much less anxiety for us, than we had expected.

I would like to say thank you to Matt and his crew for safely delivering Blue Octopus to Essex. Despite engine problems they completed the delivery on time. I would highly recommend Matt and his crew to anyone who needs a yacht delivery. After some dealings with other delivery companies it was refreshing to talk to someone who was available at short notice and got on with the task set even though there were a few minor issues to solve before the voyage. Blue Octopus is now safely moored at North Fambridge with the engine issue diagnosed and part sent away for repair. The boat was left clean and tidy after the voyage. Matt we can’t thank you enough!
