Owner Assisted Passages - Captain & Crew Supply

Owner Assisted Passage is a term used for when the owner of the yacht wishes to partake in the passage but doesn’t feel they have the necessary experience or confidence to complete it as skipper themselves.

An owner assisted passage can be a great adventure. A great way to get to a know a new boat, or perhaps explore an area you haven’t sailed before. Get in touch with us to learn from one of our RYA Instructors aboard your own yacht.

As passionate sailors ourselves we understand why you would want to do the passage, in fact sometimes we can’t understand why anyone WOULDN’T want to! So if you would like to be on board for the delivery that is fine by us! The costs are much the same although please note that our usual quotes are for non-stop passages so if you would like to make it more of a pleasure trip and make stops or you don’t quite fancy battling through the rougher seas that we don’t mind.

Being aboard an Owner Assisted Passage can be a fantastic experience and we like to try and help and guide you as much as you like to give you the confidence to carry on as skipper from where we leave you.

Also if you are undertaking a qualification, the skipper can sign off your miles adding to your log book.

Sailing isn’t just a means of transport, it’s a way of life, a state of mind! Doing a delivery trip does make you closer to the sea, and not just physically! Those long night watches can lead to some deep soul searching and you find yourself really understanding what it is in life you appreciate – mostly being able to nip to the shop to buy whatever food it is you fancy at that moment and of course, a hand-pulled pint of bitter!
