Pippin of Lymington is a fantastic Dehler 41 that performs fantastically under sail. The owners requested we deliver her to Greece, lying in Palma de Mallorca, we were able to go and check on her condition months before the ETD, and that turned out to be very important. The owners, very capable sailors and knowledgeable boat owners, had clearly been let down by the people looking after the boat.
They asked us to take over the gardiennage as well as look into getting her back into shape again.
Needless to say we could oblige, we delivered her to Port d’ Andratx where the works would take place. She was sluggish under engine but much more agile under sail. As suspected the state of the prop played a big role in that.
Due to the Covid backlog, we were on a strict time schedule but with a lot of sweat we were able to get her looking great again. Most importantly though, she was back to performing the way she was designed and built for!
Her hull had clearly not even been washed for many months and was heavily oxidised. Using quality products and a lot of TLC, the results were very satisfying! Have a look at the before and after photos below!

Matt could not have been more helpful. Having only met virtually due to Covid he took the work on, created the project management plan and is executing the work with humour, attention to detail and budget. He has good network, communicates excellently and has got the grasp of the project. A delight to work with.
